September 15, 2016With back to school comes one certainty – homework. It’s an essential part of the learning process, but it is often looked at with dread.
That’s why The Best of New Jersey has put together some tips for how to reduce homework stress. They reached out to local educational experts, including Tutor Doctor’s very own Jessica Bush.
Jessica, like so many educators, has a passionate desire to help young learners. That’s why she’s owned Tutor Doctor North New Jersey since 2011. Before that, Jessica spent 25 years selling fine art and photography to collectors and galleries around the world. She credits her success to her innate ability to sense the emotional connection between artists and art lovers. She has brought this emotional intelligence to her work with Tutor Doctor, and is recognized locally for her expertise.
When it comes to reducing homework stress, Jessica’s advice is simple: “[student] workloads can often seem insurmountable. The key is to be supportive and to let them know it is okay to ask for help.”
This is not the first time Jessica has been asked to provide her expertise. She has also been featured by her local news and online news outlets discussing the impact of the recent SAT changes.
To hear more from Jessica and other local experts on how to reduce homework stress in the new school year, check out The Best of New Jersey’s full list of tips.
