When Alison Parker and Lacey Frank were considering opening their own home tutoring business, they felt some nervousness. Having been teachers themselves, they knew they had the skills to help students to excel, but they had very little experience in marketing or with finances.
Luckily, Tutor Doctor has all the business processes in place and provides training in every aspect of your home tutoring business, so you know what you’re doing. Alison and Lacy explain:
“Even with 25 years of teaching between us, we were apprehensive about opening and running our own business. As educators, we were used to providing assistance to students and communicating with parents. However, our unfamiliarity with the financial part of the business as well as marketing and office procedures caused us great fear.
These worries were quickly put to rest right from the beginning of our journey. During our President’s Call, we outlined our concerns about starting a new career. From that moment, our experience with training and support was tailored to our specific needs.
Tutor Doctor Home Office staff worked tirelessly to provide us with the training we needed to feel comfortable and be successful. Our experience with Home Office support began with Jump Start calls. These calls provided vital information once we returned home from training and were on our own. The support didn’t stop there.
We were then offered mentors chosen specifically for our personalities and strengths and weaknesses. By far, this support was the pinnacle of our growth as new business owners. Home Office continues to support us by way of important webinars and Global Team Calls weekly.
We feel that without this essential support from Home Office, it would be difficult for franchisees to thrive.”
