When Cami Smith arrived at “The Wreck” next to Emerald Coast Fellowship Church on Tuesday afternoon, she thought she would be attending a reopening ceremony for the local Tutor Doctor office.

Little did she know that next door dozens of her friends and family were huddled together, doing their best to keep quiet so they could surprise her.

She didn’t know Tutor Doctor President Frank Milner had flown all the way from Toronto for the occasion or that out of almost 20,000 tutors, she had been selected as the company’s Tutor of the Year.
