November 25, 2014Owner of Tutor Doctor Boise, Retired USAF Colonel Bob Rosedale, has secured a $4.66 million five-year award with the U.S. Veterans Administration (VA) to provide tutoring services to military veterans in 13 states through their Vocational Rehabilitation & Employment Program.
Rosedale has a long association with the VA and has been dedicated to the advancement of the veteran community since his retirement from the military. “Dedication, commitment and service is what sets our veterans apart – they deserve the best support possible as they transition to their next career. Tutor Doctor honors their service by guaranteeing our dedication and commitment to their academic success.” said Rosedale. “I personally went through a transition from the military four years ago and am thankful to have the opportunity to help others through Tutor Doctor.”
Tutor Doctor is an in-home, one-on-one tutoring system that offers academic assistance to students of all ages. It is also one of the fastest-growing tutoring franchises worldwide and is the only tutoring franchise to be offered an opportunity to work with veterans. The award provides assistance to veterans across the west from Colorado to Hawaii and on to Alaska.
The VA’s decision to award this project to Rosedale was based on his years of dedication to the veteran’s community and because of Tutor Doctor’s presence in the region as well as their ability to recruit and train qualified, caring tutors who can empathize with the unique needs of transitioning veterans. Rosedale’s success with his Idaho franchise has ensured that he is a good fit for the post. Since opening his business in 2011, Rosedale has successfully provided over 14,000 tutoring sessions for more than 500 families.
Said Frank Milner, Tutor Doctor President; “At Tutor Doctor, we are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of military veterans. Passionate franchisees like Bob exemplify our commitment to excellence on behalf of learners of all ages. We could not be more proud of Bob’s achievements and look forward to expanding our veteran network with likeminded individuals.”
Thanks to its ongoing success, Tutor Doctor has received recognition as the top tutoring franchise for veterans from the World Franchising Network. By investing time and resources into to providing assistance to veterans wishing to return to civilian life, Tutor Doctor has created a wonderful resource for veterans. So much so, that veterans take up 10 percent of the students who receive help from the franchise network; a number they hope to increase in the future through programs and incentives that help to better fulfill the needs of returning veterans.
