The road to qualify as a Tutor Doctor franchisees is not an easy one, and both the company and potential buyer must be sure they are a good fit.
Tutor Doctor encourages franchisees to take a careful look at the opportunity to see if it’s right for them. Micah Peppers shares some insights into why she chose a Tutor Doctor Franchise:
When my husband and I got married, major changes were inevitable. He is a U.S. Marine and we don’t choose where we live. My husband was stationed in Beaufort, South Carolina, so I had to transition out of my comfy, tenured high school teaching job and move away from big city life of Tampa Bay, into a 12,000-occupant town.
Teaching is all I had ever done but, quite honestly, I was over it. It was a lot of work for little pay, and although, we got several holidays and vacations, there wasn’t a lot of flexibility. With this new life, we needed some sort of flexibility because no two weeks are ever alike.
I had always loved the idea of having my own business: being my own boss, working when I wanted, having no cap pay, etc. With me not wanting to go back into teaching, we started researching business ventures. The one thing I was certain of was that I did not want to start from scratch! I needed the help of a franchise with expertise and credibility.
We looked on a military-friendly franchise list and came across Tutor Doctor. It didn’t take too long to fall in love with the concept, and it seemed to fit our lifestyle: work from home, flexibility, and community involvement. Most of all, I could continue helping children like I had always done-just in a different setting.
Every reason we invested in Tutor Doctor still holds true today. It completely fits our personalities and lives. I love what I do and am so grateful I took on this amazing adventure.
