This year’s Tutor Doctor rookies have made huge waves in a very short time! They’ve taken hold of their business and wasted no time in generating their own success. Not to mention, they’ve quickly become integral to our Tutor Doctor family!

The Rookie of the Year award recognizes the best new player on the Tutor Doctor team. A rookie is defined as a franchisee with less than 18 months in the business, who produced at least $50,000 in revenue within their first 12 months, and who embodies the Tutor Doctor spirit and values.

The Winner of the Rookie of the Year Award Is…

Adie Twining of Tutor Doctor Central Southampton Salisbury, UK!

Eight nominations for this year’s awards demonstrate the impact Adie has made on the TD network in a short time. Adie has fully embraced the TD model and taken advantage of the resources and support systems available to improve and enhance his skills. He has leveraged his franchising experience to identify growth opportunities and generate new leads. But it’s his leadership qualities that have set him apart from other rookies. Adie has been active in the UK community, providing coaching and mentorship to others. He also collaborated with the Southampton City Council, the local library, and was a pillar in his local community in a time of need by delivering free ESL lessons for Ukrainian refugees.

Jamie Locke of Tutor Doctor East Salt Lake City, USA

Always willing to go the extra mile to generate a sale, it's Jamie’s incredible energy and can-do attitude that sets him apart from other rookie franchisees. Jamie grinds so hard it’s difficult to imagine a challenge that’s beyond him. He has implemented our business model while also finding innovative ways to grow his business. Jamie is not afraid to take risks, try new ideas and work hard to get the desired results. Jamie is also a fervent networker and an active participant in the coaching process. Jamie lives and breathes our values in every aspect of his business.

Sarah Cantrell of Tutor Doctor Affton Crestwood, USA

Sarah is someone who truly lives and breathes the Tutor Doctor spirit in everything she does, whether it’s helping her clients, involvement in the community, or giving back to the network by sharing her best practices. Even as a newer franchisee, Sarah has been featured several times on Global Team Call, and it's always refreshing to see how connected she is to the community through various initiatives. She is well-liked by her peers, tutors, and client families due to her genuine desire to help others. Always wearing a smile, Sarah is like a ray of sunshine, bringing a positive attitude to the business and those she works with in the Tutor Doctor network.

Diane Crossman & Gail Fry of Tutor Doctor Sandton, South Africa

Diane and Gail realized they could achieve more by combining two Tutor Doctor franchises into one. The dynamic duo leveraged their skillsets through collaboration to turn two franchises into a larger business with more tutors and a bigger network of clients. Their entrepreneurial spirit and can-do attitude have turned them into top guns with some of the highest revenues for new franchises. They are highly involved in their local community and have shown pride and care for the Tutor Doctor family by taking ownership of a recent Global Team Call development topic to ensure it was executed perfectly, providing high value for their fellow franchisees.

Lee Anne Wimberly of Tutor Doctor Suwanee, USA

Lee Anne is an ambitious, hardworking, and goal-oriented franchisee who consistently engages in community activities. Not one to miss a marketing opportunity, Lee Anne uses Tutor Doctor events to generate new leads and negotiate partnerships with schools. She is a process-oriented, quick learner who is open to feedback and a great franchisee to work with. She has done an incredible job of balancing Tutor Doctor with her corporate job and succeeded in both.

Aaron & Maria Washington of Tutor Doctor Evans, USA

Always looking for growth opportunities, Aaron and Maria have been relentless in mobilizing resources to support and grow their business. They are very active with government organizations and lobbying for school scholarships. They have already been approved as an Emergency Assistance to Non-Public Schools vendor and won Gear up Funding. Aaron and Maria network extensively and are members of the local chamber of commerce and the YMCA. They also engage the community by appearing on radio shows and participating in community events. Aaron and Maria embody the Tutor Doctor spirit with their GRIT and commitment to the business and the brand.
